Sabal Glacies Ice Palmetto

 Sabal glacies aka the ice Palmetto is native to the Ohio River Valley and it is Ohio's only native palm tree. They don't look very attractive and are basically Sabal minor that can tolerate a little more than Sabal minor can. They evolved from Sabal minor but are not Sabal minor. Sabal glacies is a separate species. They are the only palm tree native to Ohio because no other palm trees have been known to grow in Ohio.
